Memorial Day weekend officially kicks off the summer season for me. I love everything about summertime…sunshine, swimming, grilling, fresh garden vegetables, iced tea, and lemonade! We spent the weekend at our place at Lake Gaston, VA/NC. We had a wonderful time and it only rained briefly on Sunday evening. I held a yard sale there on Saturday morning, cleared some clutter, and put a few extra bucks in our pocket at the same time. My Mom and Dad came down on Saturday and we went out to eat that afternoon. Sunday we spent the day under the sun - poolside, cooked on the grill, and built a campfire in the evening. We came back to the Creek this evening and enjoyed our back yard at home.

We have a grapevine, two pear trees, and two apple trees in our yard at the lake and we already have baby pears and apples growing! 
One of the best things about going to the lake is there is a really great Goodwill store nearby. I got a new with tags bathing suit for just $4.50! Woo-hoo! Hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend as well.
