Free & Frugal Friday

This was another great shopping week at Rite-Aid!  They are offering many products FREE after Single Check Rebate. I picked up several this evening and might even head back tomorrow for a few more.  After coupons and rebates, I made a profit of $22.00.  Here’s how… DSC_0001

Transaction #1

NeilMed Nasal Mist       $9.99   (had $2.00 coupon)

EOS Lip Balm                 $1.99

NeilMed Nas0gel           $5.99   (had $2.00 coupon)

Zantac 150mg 24-ct.    $8.99   (had $5.00 coupon)

Also used a $5.00 off $25.00 Rite-Aid coupon and there was a $2.00 peelie coupon on the Zantac box.  I wasn’t planning on using it, but the cashier said I could use both and she pushed it through. Total came to $10.96 and I’ll be getting a rebate on these items for $26.96 for a profit of $16.00.

Transaction #2

Chloraseptic Kids Grape Spray       $4.49

Chestal Honey Cough Syrup            $7.99   (had $1.00 off coupon)

Cepacol Fizzlers Grape 12-ct.          $4.99

Blink Tears (Roger uses this!)         $7.99

Used a $5.00 off $25.00 Rite-Aid coupon.  Total cost was $19.46 and will be getting back a rebate of $25.46 for a profit of $6.00.  Thanks Rite-Aid for paying me to shop!

Here’s tonight’s Walgreens stop…DSC_0002

I was only planning on doing the make-up deal once, but the cashier wouldn’t accept one of my Almay manufacturer’s coupons.  (I think it beeped because I used a register reward which made for too many coupons for the number of products purchased.)  I decided to do the deal again and use my remaining Almay coupon.  It ended up all working out since the Rite-Aid cashier gave me the extra $2.00 of the Zantac!

(4) Almay Eye Products $8.99 each on sale buy 1 get 1 free. (had $3.00 off each Walgreens coupon and two $1.00 off manufacturer coupons for a total off of $14.00)

(2) Starbucks Mocha Frapps – YUMMMM – on sale $1.29 each (had two $1.00 off coupons)

(1) Vaseline Vitamin Boost Lotion $6.99

I had a $1.00 Register Reward that I used.  Total was $10.36 but I earned back a $7.00 Register Reward for a net cost of $3.36. (Total savings was $37.88!)

Last stop was Goodwill.  I found two books – a teen bible in like-new condition for $1.00 and a Rachel Ray cookbook also for $1.00.DSC_0003

And I couldn’t turn my back on Kermit……….$1.25……..priceless!DSC_0004

  • Did you see the new Rite Aid coupon policy posted over at iheartriteaid? My hassles with the Rite Aid 3 blocks away are over! Now if only they stocked the SCR deals more than once a week – very disappointed at no Zucol, Sambucol or Blink.

    • I will check it out and print it. I’ve had some great Rite-Aid cashiers lately and the manager does a pretty good job of keeping the shelves full. Walgreens is a totally different story. They always seem to be out of the sale items advertised and coupon hassles galore. I haven’t been to CVS in a while- they haven’t had too much to offer.

  • Those are some great deals – love that first Rite-Aid trip!
