It’s a beautiful autumn morning here in Virginia. The leaves are finally starting to turn colors! I love the smell of the air blowing through the open windows and right now I’m also enjoying the scent of a spiced pumpkin candle burning in my kitchen. Today I wanted to share a recipe which is ideal for this time of year with all the apple picking going on.
Skillet Apples
4 cooking apples, peeled and sliced/cut
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 1/2 cups water
Combine all ingredients and cook in skillet for about 20 minutes. How easy is that?
I used apples that my Mom & Dad brought back from a recent trip to Pennsylvania. I’m not sure what variety they were.

The roses are loving the cooler weather.
