I haven’t had the chance to go bargain shopping the past few weeks but I ran by Walgreens this evening as I had several Register Rewards that were expiring today. It was use them or lose them. I also wanted to see if I could find some of the money-making glucose meters. I was shocked to see 5 on the shelf, exactly the number of coupons I had! (Normally they go the first day of the sale.) I stumbled onto some FREE juice and grabbed all the bottles they had. We needed to replace two sets of Christmas lights for the tree this year and I also picked up some candycanes. Here’s my trip… 
(5) Bayer Glucose Meters on sale for $14.99 each used (5) coupons to get them free, earned $5.00 in Register Rewards for each monitor purchased
(6) Ocean Spray Cranberry-Pomegranate 100% Juice on sale for $1.99 each used $1.00 off coupon from the Walgreens November coupon booklet and there were $1.00 off peelies on each bottle which makes FREE juice
(3) Kleenex on sale for $1.09 each
(1) Candycanes $1.59
(2) 100-count tree lights $3.99 each buy 1 get 1 FREE
(1) Tim McGraw cologne on sale for $10
(1) 4-pack 9-Lives for Emmett $2.99
Used $13 in Register Rewards and paid $9.16 out of pocket – earned $25 in Register Rewards! Profit=$14.84 I’ll be taking the monitors to work to give out to diabetic patients. Four came with a FREE A1C checker as well!
While in Walgreens my husband saw a sign for a FREE $25 gift certificate when you transfer a prescription from another pharmacy. We were planning on going to Rite Aid to get my husband’s prescription filled, but instead we just had it transferred while we were shopping so that’s another $25! Woo-hoo!
