52 Weeks of Goodwill – Week 27

This week’s featured item can be frequently found in Goodwill in the “wood” section.  I love how my local Goodwill stores have their household items grouped.  Everything is separated by color.  Not tag color, but item color.  The clothing is done the same way.  It just makes it easier to shop.

My week 27 item is an inexpensive wood tray.  These things are so versatile.  You can paint them any color and set up a vignette anywhere in your home.  My cost $1.25.

That little jar is a free paint sample I got in the mail last summer from Glidden.  The color is called Pool Party,  perfect for the 4th of July.

I had a small piece of fabric left from the stools my husband recovered that I lined the tray with.  I put clear nail polish around the edges to prevent it from fraying.  Then I filled up the tray for my own little beach here at the creek.

In case you were wondering…
